(提琴)ヴァイオリンに、(衣)きものを纏わせる提琴衣は、日本の衣文化である「きもの」から着想を得て制作された、ケース内でヴァイオリンを保護するヴァイオリン保護袋です。京都の伝統工芸の技術をもとに、職人方の手仕事によって作り出される一点ものです。
生地には正絹（絹100％）の生地を使用。正絹は吸湿・放湿に優れ、湿度変化に弱いヴァイオリンの保管にとても適した素材です。そして縫製は、熟練和裁士監修によるきものの仕立て技術を応用した完全手縫い仕立てで、楽器をやさしく包み込みます。
意匠は本作のために木下秀硯氏が手描きで制作した一点ものです。描かれているのは、しなやかな胡蝶蘭の花の姿とともに、和歌が添えられた意匠です。
