原作は、『イノセント・デイズ』で第68回日本推理作家協会賞を受賞した早見和真が、受賞後第一作目として最大級の熱量で綴った最強青春小説。大人の作った社会の仕組みに抗い、大切なものを守りながら1995年の渋谷をがむしゃらに駆け抜けた高校生たちの熱い物語をドラマ化。主演を務めるのは、King & Princeのメンバーとして活躍する髙橋海人。共演には、中川大志、松本穂香、細田佳央太、犬飼貴丈、関口メンディーが脇を固める。脚本は、映画「桐島、部活やめるってよ」（2013年）で第36回日本アカデミー賞優秀脚本賞を受賞した喜安浩平、監督は映画「アルプススタンドのはしの方」（2020年）、『女子高生に殺されたい』（2022年）などを監督した城定秀夫。そして音楽を担当するのは、映画、TVドラマで活躍するゲイリー芦屋。1995年頃に流行ったファッションや音楽、漫画やドラマ、ポケベルやテレホンカードなど、当時高校生だった大人世代にとってはどこか懐かしさを感じられ、当時を知らない現代の若者にとっては新鮮に感じられる90年代の世界観を描いた、エネルギーに満ちた作品。
