【第壱話】 流れ者妖怪の鵺が新宿に戻ってくる。その目的は「古いなじみ」である河童に借りを返すこと。そのころ新宿では、全身の血液を抜き取られた変死体猟奇殺人事件が起きていたが、それらはすべて機械の体を手に入れた河童のしわざだった。鵺が、次の獲物を狙う河童を追いつめた時、不在になっていたはずの鴉が現れる。
【第弐話】 夜のハイウェイで起きる謎の事故。その真相は、廻向の配下の妖怪・輪入道が引き起こしていたものだった。鵺をおびき出し捕獲することに成功した輪入道だったが、現れた鴉との戦いに破れ、鵺と共に炎上する。炎の中から現れたのは、全身を機械化させた鵺だった。
【第参話】 廻向は、カマイタチと土蜘蛛に鴉抹殺を命じる。2体の妖怪が向かったのは乙羽のいる施療院ではなく、新宿区内のある病院。そこには昏睡状態で眠りつづける本物の乙羽がいた。鴉とは、霊体となった人間だったのだ。なんとか本体への攻撃を食い止めた鴉だったが、その隙にゆりね
