Crafted by Nakada Kingyoku III.本品は三代にわたり盛金絵付け、青粒技法を継承する伝統工芸士・三代仲田錦玉の手による香炉です。一粒一粒を手で打つ青粒技法においては、通常、粒が不規則になりがちですが錦玉氏の打つ粒は均一で渦状となり、作品に凜とした風格が備わります。あらかじめ焼かれた磁器にムラ無く艶消しの黒い下地塗りを施して焼成。ベンガラで盛り上げるように文様を描き、その上に金泥をのせて再度焼成をする。金は滑りが悪く、滑らかに描くには高度な技術が不可欠。その後「いっちん」と呼ばれる道具を使い青粒を渦で描く「渦打」を施す。下絵は無く均一の粒を等間隔で落としていく技術はまさに神業といえるもの。飾るだけで部屋全体の気を高めてくれます。
