8枚目のスタジオアルバム『Nothing'sAbouttoHappentoMe』！●Mitskiは、8枚目のスタジオアルバム『Nothing'sAbouttoHappentoMe』を2月27日にDeadOceansよりリリースする。ライヴ・バンドとオーケストラに支えられた『Nothing'sAbouttoHappentoMe』で、Mitskiは、荒れ果てた家に暮らす引きこもりの女性を主人公とする豊かな物語に没入している。彼女は、家の外では異端者だが、家の中では自由である。アルバム全楽曲の作詞、作曲およびボーカルはMitski自身が手がけている。プロデューサーとエンジニアは、PatrickHylandが担当。マスタリングはBobWestonが行い、ドラムおよび制作アシスタントをKrisBulakowskiが務めている。前作『TheLandIsInhospitableandSoAreWe』で確立した音楽的な方向性を引き継ぎ、本作では、『TheLand』のツアーに参加したバンドによる生演奏と、アンサンブルによるアレンジがフィーチャーされている。オーケストラは、SunsetSoundおよびTTGStudiosでレコーディングされ、アレンジおよび指揮はDrewEricksonが担当。エンジニアはMichaelHarris、サブ・エンジニアとしてIsaacDiskin、アシスタントをAlexMillerが務めている。
