幼少期からドラムをプレイし、学生時代はジャズを学び、そしてエレクトロニック・ミュージックを吸収した彼。自身の祖父の写真をジャケットに使用した本作は、アンビエント、ヒップホップ、ジャズ、フォークなど自らが影響を受けて来た音楽体験を吸収・昇華した自身の音楽ジャーニー。デトロイトの伝説JDillaを継承するかのごときプロダクションとセンス、FlyingLotusやTeebsらLAビーツに共振するビート・センスは秀逸そのもの。
