インディーズ時代のサニーデイ・サービスやNonaReevesの作品をリリースし、90年代の日本のネオアコースティック・シーンの重要レーベルであった[UnderFlower]傘下の[Pushbike]レーベルに『BlueDolphin』を残したAyakoAkashibaとYasuhiroKawaseによるユニット、Sunshower（サンシャワー）。リリースから20数年を経て未だに、海外のインディー・ファンからもコアな人気を誇る唯一の作品『BlueDolphin』がRECORDSTOREDAYにオフィシャル・リマスターLP復刻！
Stawberry-High-Soft、MarigoldLeafでも活躍し、ドイツのMorrMusicからアルバム『Sunkissed』でデビューしたエレクトロニカ・シューゲイズ・ユニット、GUITARのヴォーカリストとしても数々の作品を残している女性アーティスト、AyakoAkashibaと当時の周辺のインディー・シーンの中でもずば抜けたセンスの持ち主であったトラックメイカーのYasuhiroKawaseの2人組。
当時のインディー・シーンにおいて斬新なブレイクビーツ的感覚を織り交ぜたA1「BlueDolphin」（RiowArai氏がプログラミングを担当）、盟友であるドイツのデュオ、DonnaReginaの絶品カヴァーA4「Almaty」、シュガーコーティングされたインディー・ポップA5「ForTheDay」やA7「Memory」、美しいアルペジオ・ギターに導かれるSarahRecordsファンにもオススメのフォーキー・ネオアコのB1「ShiningOceanDay」、ピート・シーガーのカヴァーB2「WhereHaveAllTheFlowersGone?」などを収録。
カセットテープのMTRでほぼ全てが一発録りに近いかたちで録音されたゆえの、奇跡的なゆらめきとセンス、アカシバアヤコの初々しいヴォーカル。90年代ネオアコースティック、インディー・ポップ史上の稀有な存在感を放つ名作。
今回の復刻にあたり、東京のテキスタイル・デザイナー、CanakoInoueによる描き下ろしのペイントをジャャケットとインサートに起用。
